We do dust off loose dirt/debris and cut off sections that are too brittle. No thorns!! Cholla is great for a variety of things–reptiles, hermit crabs, chinchillas, rabbits, aquariums, pleco, shrimp, birds, crafts, air plants…the list goes on!
